The Pogrom And The Apology Of The Popes

Pastor Longinus Ekeh, November 1, 2014, 07.00 MDT.

The Babylon of Biblical prophecy was drunken with the blood of the saints (Rev.17:6). The Angel identified this Babylon as the City built on seven hills and that City which rules over the kings of the earth. It is no other city but Rome. Historically Rome and the Catholic Church are drunken with the blood of the saints and the Jews. Over 50 million Protestants were massacred by Rome during the middle ages. The Rekindling the Reformation website1 published a chronicle of the murderous history of this institution. Darryl Eberhart and Amazing Discoveries also published the list of atrocities of the Catholic Church on the Amazing Discovery website2. And the Pontiff is not living in denial. Pope Francis has apologized for the persecution of the Pentecostals by the Catholics as was reported by the Religious News website3. He followed the footsteps of Pope John Paul who apologized and sought forgiveness for the atrocities the Catholic Church had committed against Protestants, Jews, women, etc. as published by the Guardian4. In addition, five Vatican Cardinals and two Bishops joined their voices to confess the atrocities of the Church, and they said, never again.

The Reconciliation efforts

The reconciliation efforts appear to be succeeding and true to prophecy, it would succeed. Protestant and Pentecostal leaders have never been so cooperative with the Catholic Church! Major Pentecostal leaders appear to have welcome the unification move. The walls of partition are already broken as could be seen in the video referenced earlier (Tony Palmer5), link given below. When this reunification is consolidated the harlot daughters would have re-united with their Mother as was stated in Rev.17:5.

The consequences

The aftermath of this reunification will be the worst pogrom massacre ever witnessed on the face of the earth. Once again, Christians shall be persecuted and killed en mass; the worst persecution ever shall erupt and these Pentecostals and Protestants shall be trapped. The Spirit of God declared that Babylon was drunk with the blood of the saints; the present Pentecostal leaders cannot be wiser than God. If the Pontiff and Catholic leaders have genuinely repented there would be no justification to judge the system.

God'sWord Speaks'

Seeking and crying after God.

But the scripture declared that God Himself shall use the last world power to judge Rome for the massacre of the saints past and present (Rev.17:1), "Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and said to me, 'Come, I will show you the judgment of the great prostitute who is seated on many waters...'" vs.16, "And the ten horns that you saw, they and the beast will hate the prostitute. They will make her desolate and naked, and devour her flesh and burn her up with fire..." Read also chapter 18.

The warning

Pentecostals, do not be fooled! Do not be deceived!! The present gesture from Rome is an attempt to reunite the Roman Catholic Church with her daughters. And when this is done, the rules will change, whether it is in the tenure of the present Pope or another. In Rev.18:4 the Spirit of God instructed every believer as it was written, "Then I heard another voice calling from heaven, 'Come away from her, my people. Do not take part in her sins, or you will be punished with her. 5For her sins are piled as high as heaven, and God remembers her evil deeds...'" The connotation of this is that there are genuine children of God in the Roman system as well as the confederated churches but they would need to leave or else they would be trapped.

Conclusion

I would reiterate the statement of Tony Palmer that this reunification is an indication that Jesus Christ is coming soon. Jesus Christ Himself said, "28Now learn a lesson from the fig tree. When its branches bud and its leaves begin to sprout, you know that summer is near. 29In the same way, when you see all these things taking place, you can know that his return is very near, right at the door. 30I tell you the truth, this generation will not pass from the scene before all these things take place. 31Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will never disappear." (Mark 13:28-31).

Saints of God, this is the right time to rekindle our zeal for God. This is the hour of preparation and readiness. This is the time to pray for ourselves, our loved ones, the Church of God as well as the world. We must strive to be counted among the intercessors. Let's keep awake because our salvation is nearer than we first beloved.
