Who Rules World?

“It’s been 50 years since the U.S. Supreme Court first ruled that government-endorsed prayer in public schools is unconstitutional. The landmark decision, which continues to lay at the center of the nation’s debate over the separation of church and state, forever changed the way that faith and religion are handled in classrooms. The ongoing contention started when Steven Engel, a Jewish New Yorker, came together with other parents in 1958 to sue New York State over state-endorsed prayer that was being recited in schools. The Supreme Court inevitably sided with Engel and the decision was issued on June 25, 1962 — a day that lives in infamy in the minds of many religious individuals and free-speech advocates.” Billy Hallowell.

It began in the United States. Prayer was banned in public places. In 2015 Canada became the next victim. “The Supreme Court’s unanimous ruling closes a case from Saguenay, Que., where the town council not only offered a prayer before meetings, but also had Catholic symbols in the council’s chambers. The court ordered all of it to go because of the existence in Canadian society of a ‘concept of neutrality according to which the state must not interfere in religion and beliefs … The state must remain neutral.’” Naomi Lakritz, Calgary Herald. So, why must this law be invoked now? Why was prayer not stopped when this law was promulgated?

Since the ruling of the American Supreme Court on the case of Engel, America has never been more godless. That ruling silenced Christian prayers, while on the other hand it indirectly lead to the rise of other religions, godlessness and moral decadence in America. Giving the current ruling of Canadian Supreme Court, one should expect the nation to get submerged in godlessness in a couple of years.

The question is; who is in charge? Is there Biblical evidence to prove that a few men control the affairs of the world, irrespective of who leads the nations? What are their objectives?

A Few Men Rule the World

Rev. 17:12-13 “The ten horns you saw are ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom, but who for one hour will receive authority as kings along with the beast. They have one purpose and will give their power and authority to the beast.”

I have done several teaching on Rev.17 and would need to concentrate on verses 12 and 13 in this article. You however, would need previous teaching on this chapter to be able to connect properly with this subject. Some of the previous expository articles on this chapter are, Babylon the Great Coming into View, and The Seven Heads. During those series I deliberately omitted the explanation of Rev.17:12-13, but the current world events have made it imperative to explore these verses.

Revelation 17 mentioned seven heads, which were interpreted by the Angel as seven kings; and ten horns which were also interpreted by the same Angel to mean, ten kings. These two groups of kings are certainly not the same.

The Kings or Kingdoms described as the 7 heads, existed sequentially or in succession. That is to say, one kingdom ran its course before the next. Each of those kings represents world empires and the major ruler of that empire. They were the same as the kings in the visions of Daniel (Dan.2).

Daniel said, “This is the dream; and we will tell its interpretation before the king. You, O king, are a king of kings: for the God of heaven has given you a kingdom, power, and strength, and glory. And wherever the children of men dwell, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the heaven has he given into your hand, and has made you ruler over them all. You are this head of gold.” (Dan.2:36-38).

Nebuchadnezzar was not the only ruler of the Babylonian Kingdom. His son, Belshazzar, succeeded him, yet his son was not counted as the major ruler of that Kingdom. When Daniel said (Dan.2:39), “But after your kingdom comes to an end, another kingdom, inferior to yours, will rise to take your place,” he was not referring to Belshazzar, the son of Nebuchadnezzar.

Daniel here was talking about successive kingdoms, not successive rulers within the same kingdom. Not just successive kingdoms but successive world empires. You can get detailed explanations in our previous articles linked above.

Our attention in this article is on the 10 horns, which are also 10 kings. These 10 kings represent 10 nations, or 10 blocks of nations. This is the kingdom that would be ruling the world when Jesus Christ returns, as prophesied by Daniel. The leaders of these 10 blocks of nations would receive power with the Antichrist simultaneously. They have the same purpose, that is, to yield themselves to one world government under the Antichrist.

Now note this, it is practically impossible for this to happen if these world rulers did not belong to a clique. It is absolutely impossible for rulers to emerge in different parts of the world, at the same time, having the same purpose, if they were not secretly in conference, plotting and directing the affairs of the world. These leaders would emerge whether by election or by appointment. They would emerge as the flag bearers of different political parties. In the news media, these different political parties might appear to be at dagger drawn, but secretly their leaders have one mind, and pursue the same purpose.

So, whether it is the Republicans or Democrats in the USA, the Conservatives or the Liberals in Canada, and wherever else in the world; whether they are Liberals, Conservatives, Progressives, or whichever name they go by; whether their presidential flag bearers or prime ministers emerge by voting or by appointment, those who eventually emerge winners would be the puppets of these few men who rule the world. Any leader in the world who is in opposition to the grand agenda of these few men in power would be ousted, whether through election, impeachment, revolution or assassination. Indeed, a few men control the world. They dictate the rise and fall of world leaders; they dictate the crash and revival of world economies, they control the banking system, news media, judicial systems, and every other major facet of the economy. Some writers call them, “the Global Elites.” They have one aim, that is, One World Government, otherwise called, The New World Order. It is a system where God is not recognized.

That 10 world leaders would emerge at the same time in different parts of the world and would have the same purpose, is an indication that a few men secretly control and dictate the direction of affairs in the world, or else, the Angel who spoke to Apostle John lied. I do not believe that the Angel lied. So, I believe that a few men are manipulating the affairs of the world. Removing the name of Jesus Christ in public places while allowing other religions; promoting godlessness, instigating chaos in different nations and responding with ‘revolutionary changes’ acceptable to the populace, the world is gradually tilting to the point where global control would become a child of necessity. The fear of nuclear fallout, religious fanaticism and world financial meltdown would serve to facilitate global acceptance of world central governance.

Jesus Christ is the Governor of the Nations

“All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the LORD: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before you. For the kingdom is the LORD'S: and he is the governor among the nations. All the prosperous of earth shall eat and worship: all they that go down to the dust shall bow before him: and none can keep alive his own soul.” (Psalms 22:27-29).

The earth is on lease to the kings of this earth, and soon that lease would expire. They may conspire to reject God, but they would certainly weep when He shall appear to take vengeance on those who mismanaged the earth.

“And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casts its unripe figs, when it is shaken by a mighty wind. And the heavens departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the generals , and the mighty men, and every slave, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sits on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath has come; and who shall be able to stand?” (Rev.6:12-17).

If you have not given your life to Jesus Christ, this is the time to do that. While the world shut their door against Jesus Christ, His arms are open to individuals who would recognize their sinful states, believe in Jesus Christ for their salvation, and live for God. As you take this step, Heaven would be glad a citizen of the Kingdom of Heaven has returned to spiritual Mount Zion.

“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father..." (John 14:12).
